The hospital used to be single level family home. It was raised in 1989 by the original owner Dr. Alastair Bryson and a purpose built veterinary hospital was constructed on the ground level. The second floor is now an apartment rented to one of our staff.
Dr. Bryson still works for us.
He comes in 2 days a week to do surgeries for the SPCA.
About Us
Dr. Jonathan Smith owns and operates the hospital. Jonathan graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1989. He worked in large and small animal practices for 6 years in the United Kingdom before emigrating to Canada. After a short spell in Comox and Revelstoke he settled in Central Saanich. He now works exclusively with cats and dogs. He is experienced in all areas of general practice and has a special interest in skin and ear problems. Jonathan lives on the peninsula with his wife, Ina, 2 children Maia and Iona and labrador Kerry.
